The game will have four different editions, including a special 75th anniversary edition
The publisher 2K announced on Wednesday (14) that the NBA 2K22 will be released on September 10 worldwide. There will be four different editions of the game, with six different athletes stamping the covers: the PlayStation 4 Standard, PlayStation 5 Standard, the Digital Cross-Gen Pack and the 75th anniversary special edition.
Slovenian Luka Don, of the Dallas Mavericks, was voted a two-time NBA All-Star in three seasons in the league and prints the covers of the Standard and Cross-Gen editions. The background of the Standard edition features a drawing of Don enveloped by "brushstrokes" in the colors blue, white and red, in an analogy to the flag of his native Slovenia.
As happened earlier, NBA 2K mt continues to charge 50 reais (10 dollars) more for the game version for new generation consoles, with no free upgrade options. The Standard version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will cost $299.90 ($59.99), while the Standard for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will cost $349.90 ($69.99).
For those who wish to play both generations on both PlayStation and Xbox, you'll need to purchase the Cross-Gen package for $399.50 ($79.99). Finally, there is the 75th anniversary edition, for R$ 499.50 ($99.99). All editions are now available for pre-order on PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, and you'll also be able to play on PC, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
In addition, 2K is celebrating the WNBA's 25th anniversary with a special edition of NBA 2K22 MT for sale, bringing female athletes. The cover will feature Candace Parker of Chicago Sky — the first female athlete in NBA 2K history. The WNBA special edition will be sold only in North America and at Physical Stores of GameStop and EB Games, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, for $69.99.
