For me, this was the most important characteristic in the evolution of Moncler. We evolved the face of the brand. Moncler Genius has offered some of the most exciting collaborations to come out of the outerwear world, allowing some of the world's top tier designers to refit classic silhouettes with their signature DNA. For 6 MONCLER 1017 ALYX 9SM, Matthew Williams brings his brands now - iconic rollercoaster buckle hardware to a series of outerwear, alongside accessories, trousers and base layers.
By broadcasting the show on its dedicated microsite, across multiple social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, www.monclersoutlets.com Youtube, LinkedIn, Twitter, WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin, and by broadcasting via a network of media partners and ecommerce players, Moncler will go where different consumer groups already are.
The project, which debuted in 2017, has seen Moncler serve as a template for some of the industry's biggest designers to refit in their own image. In one way, I'm desperate to go back - I mean, I know people say that they don't want to go back to the way it was, but in some ways, I do want to go back, back to doing a show, having an event, and seeing people.
Broadly speaking, in this collection Sergio Zambon articulated the contemporary language of Moncler through his consideration of liberal - pacifist dress codes of the 1970s.
This season's new additions are Matthew Williams of 1017 Alyx 9SM and London phenom Richard Quinn; returning are Craig Green, Simone Rocha, Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels, Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, as well as Moncler 1952's Sergio Zambon and Moncler Grenoble's Sandro Mandrino. And there are no puffer jacket - sized boundaries on what they can create.
